Getting to know: Anna Humphries

August 01, 2019

Anna Humphries is a British adventurer, trained Mountain Leader, Duke OF Edinburgh Award Expedition Leader and Bear Grylls Survival Academy (BGSA) Instructor. She’s also a passionate Scout Leader and Survival Enthusiast

Raised in the city of Worcester, nestled in the footholds of The Malvern & Bredon Hills, her thirst for adventure began.

From an early age, Anna amassed a great deal of experience in the outdoors, building dens, climbing trees, scrambling through rock pools and finding adventure wherever she went.

Anna’s fascination with helping others to find adventure has ultimately led to her conquering mountains and every target that she has set herself. As a D of E Gold Award Holder, Queen’s Scout, BGSA Instructor and trained Mountain Leader, she has successfully summited her personal objectives.

As a Scout Leader, Anna prides herself in delivering camps and expeditions for Young People from diverse backgrounds and through the charity that she has founded, Scampers Team, she demonstrates her knowledge and skills as an expedition leader providing adventurous experiences and training for young adults.

Anna completed the BGSA Instructors training and was invited to join Bear’s handpicked team of highly trained experts delivering their unique style of self-rescue skills. Something she's done passionately since 2015, affording her many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities with both BGSA and Bear himself!

Excitingly this Summer, Anna is working with us to launch our very first holiday course called the "Bear Essentials" - with limited capacity, bookings close on 2 August so don't miss out on this opportunity to not only try a new BGSA course and also to meet Anna!

Stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what she gets up to this Summer!
