Why White Water?

March 29, 2019

Global adventurers flock to the Brecon Beacons each year because despite it's unquestionable beauty, it's PACKED with challenge! From waterfall crossings and steep cliff faces to caves and stretches of dense forest, it's guaranteed to inspire you to push yourself with life-changing experiences!

We have two dynamic course offerings in this fantastic location and instead of us telling you how wonderful the White Water Survival Course for Adults and the White Water Survival Family Adventure courses are, we asked past "survivors" of these courses, what they thought! These are just a few of the clients who had great experiences... now it's your turn to take up the challenge!

"I bought the 24hr survival experience as a gift for my partner's 30th birthday and decided to go along too. The whole 24 hours was non stop from the second we started, it was brilliant. Our instructors were fantastic; really knowledgeable, made you feel safe and were really encouraging! I won't lie, it's no wander round the countryside; we were both exhausted by the time the experience was over and every single part of me ached but I cannot recommend it highly enough! Its great value for money for what you get, a brilliant adrenaline rush and you finish with a real sense of achievement. Thank you for a great weekend!"

"Having just completed the 24hr survival academy in the Brecon beacons, I am now trying to convince some friends to join me on a 5day course in the highland of Scotland. I have learnt quite a lot in a short space of time and had a lot of fun whilst doing it. Don't think about doing this course....DO IT!!!!!!!"

"Excellent weekend experience for me and my son. The participants were varied from young children to a grandfather and every activity was completed by all. The Waterfall jump was awesome, I am terrified of heights, but pushed myself, not pressurised, but felt I would let the team down and wanted to push myself. This mind set prevailed amongst all and the was enhanced by the instructors. I have done expeditions and activities with ex-military personnel in the past and they have been macho "look how good I am". The team at Brecon were very confident, so you knew you were in good hands as a result you pushed yourself, but in no way were they macho or condescending and you were made to feel like a full member of the team. Good appropriate banter, good participants, good staff. I was really pleased that we had a couple of daughters in the group, totally busting any stereo type, they were equal members of the team and fitted in seamlessly. So bring your daughters and your sons. If you are new to this type of thing this is an excellent, safe and challenging way to get introduced."

"Life changing experience for my 10 yr old son and greatly exceeded expectations. Immediately after the course talked about bringing his 8 yr old brother on the course when he turned 10. Traveled from the USA to Wales so he could have the real experience and he did. Instructors were outstanding both technically and personally: always in safe hands. As a parent in this age of technological distraction a unique opportunity to connect and bond with your child and capture many unique memories in a short period of time and promote integral life handling skills. look forward to further involvement and experience!"
