This 24-hour outdoor adventure has been created by Bear Grylls and his close team of experts, and is delivered by a range of hand-picked instructors in the Brecon Beacons each with challenges of woodland, gorges and white water. You’ll learn Bear’s famous survival techniques: how to build and light a fire, how to navigate at night, water purification, building a shelter, extreme weather survival river crossings and a waterfall jump to test your nerve. You will be taught the most effective and safe ways to use a knife for survival.
On day two, you’ll put these skills into action, following Bear’s ethos of self-rescue, by crossing difficult terrain back to civilisation. It’s an opportunity to bring your group together through a truly memorable and fun experience.

Here is a list of skills and activities you will undertake during your course:

  • Dynamic river runs
  • Improvised Wilderness First Aid
  • Emergency shelter builds
  • Navigate harsh terrain by day and night
  • Abseil & rope use techniques
  • Survival knife skills and fire lighting

Brecon Beacons, South Wales

Close to Pen y Fan (the highest mountain in South Wales), this area of woodland, which sports fast rivers, gorges and rock faces, creates the ideal terrain for a challenging experience. The landscape is super tough, with water obstacles and high difficult ground being a key part of the challenge.

These items will all help you to survive! Please note, all of the clothing and equipment that you bring must be appropriate to the environment and the time of year. This is just a guide and you may not require all the kit. Your instructors will let you know what to take out into the wilderness on arrival-any extra kit can be secured at base camp.

…and don't forget a bag full of positive attitude!
