Catskills Mountains, New York State, USA
One of the largest and most complex natural areas in the East, the Catskills Mountains boast verdant forests, narrow, winding valleys, rushing rivers and streams, crashing waterfalls, and an abundance of wildlife. Of the 700,000 acres of the Catskill Park and Forest Preserve, 250,000 are designated ‘forever wild’, making them one of the toughest – and most rewarding – places to earn your survival stripes.

These items will all help you to survive! Please note, all of the clothing and equipment that you bring must be appropriate to the environment and the time of year. This is just a guide and you may not require all the kit. Your instructors will let you know what to take out into the wilderness on arrival-any extra kit can be secured at base camp.

…and don't forget a bag full of positive attitude!
