"As a father of three young boys I love sharing my survival techniques and going on family adventures together. It is not only exciting and fun but teaches them useful life and outdoor skills and what it really means to be able to look after yourself when the chips are down".Bear Grylls
Designed to inspire fathers and sons, mothers and daughters alike, this 24-hour outdoor adventure has been created by Bear Grylls and his close team of experts, and is delivered by a range of hand-picked instructors not only in the South Downs on Cowdray Estate but at other locations across the UK. Each location has their own challenges of woodland, heath and water but here, In your parent and child teams, you’ll learn Bear’s famous survival techniques: how to build and light a fire, foraging for food, eat grubs, water purification, building a shelter, river crossings, and the best ways to use a knife for survival. On day two, you’ll put these skills into action, following Bear’s ethos of self-rescue, by crossing difficult terrain back to civilisation. It’s an opportunity to bring you and your kids together through a truly memorable and fun experience.
Here are some of the skills and activities you will learn over the 24hrs:

…and don't forget a bag full of positive attitude!
Just wow! I wanted to take part in a survival weekend for my daughters 8th birthday and this 24hr course massively exceeded my expectations! The instructors (Martin, Nicholas & Lee) were clearly enthusiastic in there chosen careers and dragged everyone on that course in to the world of survival! My daughter stated on the way home that it was the best weekend she?d ever had and I have to say I agree! Within 24hrs we've both learned extraordinary skills I?d never dreamed you could learn in that space of time! I could have done a week of it to be honest. I?d highly recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure and an open mind to the reality of what?s involved when it comes to surviving in unknown territory!! An experience to remember and to definitely take part in again! My eyes have been opened! Thank you!!!!
