FULL DAY EVENTS
“Teamwork is the backbone of any survival situation; with it, you’re always stronger -without it, you’re in trouble!” — Bear Grylls
Does your team have what it takes, when they are taken beyond their comfort zone? If a Half Day event is not challenging enough for your team, this is your opportunity to undertake a full day event! At the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, we believe that true adventure in real-life scenarios can bring out the best in your team and there’s no better way to see what your team is made of, than during one of our all day events.
The event can take place almost anywhere from a hotel lawn to a woodland or more adventurers area. If the location is more challenging, we can bring in some Bear Grylls extreme activities; although the vast range of stances on offer can be delivered anywhere. Next, speak with our office team and chose from a range of survival stances; axe throw, raise the BG flag, blind folded Land Rover driving or perhaps a more motor skilled based activity like our special forces Kim’s Game or observation stance. Either keep your team together as a unit or break them down in to sub teams and work through a round robin style course lead by Bear’s team of instructors who will facilitate and lead the event. In most cases the lead instructor will be a member of Bear’s TV Safety team who have worked with him worldwide on some of his most famous TV shows.
If you are looking for a lunch option then we can provide a military rations style lunch or even have the teams prepare a wilderness lunch by a roaring fire.
Finally, include an extreme activity from our menu if the terrain allows, Rope Climb, Commando Crawl or Tyrolean Traverse. The activities finale is the famous Bear Grylls gross eat challenge- what would you do to survive?
Land Rover Team Challenge
This activity is ideal for teamwork, communication and understanding each other whilst under pressure.
Air Crash Scenario
Build a team shelter, light a signal fire, collect enough water for the night and create a giant SOS on the ground large enough to be seen from the air
Raise the flag
The group task now is to raise the Bear Grylls Survival Academy flag but, as usual, things are not so straight forward.
The team will be split into groups with the aim to build a giant viaduct across a gorge to transport stores and essential equipment
Giant Knots & Stretcher Race
Grab what you can, utilise anything in the surrounding location and make an improvised stretcher. Now move fast , taking some risks if you need to, and race to see who can get to the pick up point first
Please note, all of the clothing and equipment that you bring MUST be appropriate to the environment and the time of year; the items listed below are mandatory.
1 Pair of Robust Boots
